Review

“The Nightshift Code” game, invites you to become into a helper of Mike and Isabel – the protagonists of the game – and help them saving Jack Reynolds – another character in the story – and recover a lost treasure. Two modes are available for playing the game: Story Mode and Arcade.
The game itself, basically consists on looking and picking items from different locations, following a list provided by the game. You have to look the scenes very carefully, trying to find the items on the list. When you see an item, just click on it to update the list. In the story mode, as you play you go gathering clues which will be useful to achieve the goal.
There are three main elements on the game:
- Logoscope Puzzle: is used throughout the game to decode symbol codes.
- Cryptogram Puzzle: in this puzzle objects are used in place of letters to decipher an incomplete message.
- Scavenger Hunt: it will allow you to go back and search for new objects in previously explored locations.
When you first enter the game, you’ll see the welcome screen with the following options:
- Story Mode: this is one of the two available modes for playing the game, in which the story goes on.
- Arcade: in this mode, there’s no missions or levels. You just keep playing until you want.

-Change Player: this the first time there’s no existing player. After you create one or more, they’ll be saved. When you enter into this submenu, you’ll be asked for a name as a new player. It’s possible to have a list of different players and record their performance. This way, you can play home tournaments with family and friends.
- High Scores: to see the records of the players.
- Options: this is the menu from which you can set some game options like: sound volume, music volume, full screen, and mute all sounds.
- Quit: no further explanation required.
Once you are playing, you can press the PAUSE button to access to a pop-up menu with the following options:
- Main Menu: to go back to the main menu.
- Options: to see the options menu commented above.
- How to play: to see the help.
- Continue: to go back to the game and keep playing.
